Cherry Espresso Bar, the third wave coffee bar that originally opened inside Stein’s Deli, will add a third location in the Julian on Magazine Street, according to a social media first reported by the Gambit.
The Julian, a new luxury apartment in the Lower Garden District, opened in March 2017. No opening date has been for Cherry Espresso Bar, though the post said it would open sometime in 2018.
Cherry Espresso Owner Lauren Fink, who learned the barista trade in Portland, Oregon, opened her first coffee bar inside Stein’s Deli in 2013. It was a tiny stand, but it was known for its high quality coffee as Fink tasted the espresso shots throughout the day and adjusted things as needed. Three years later, she opened a a second, much larger location inside an old Uptown firehouse on Laurel Street.
The windows at the newest location are already covered with Cherry’s logo.
