Serena Williams Sat Down at Meril Restaurant For Wedding Planning

Tennis megastar, Serena Williams, and Reddit co-founder fiancé, Alexis Ohanian, popped into Emeril Lagasse’s Warehouse District gem, Meril, on Monday to begin planning their nuptials in New Orleans. According to a report in the Daily Mail, the couple met with an wedding planner for about an hour while they were there to talk about menu options and other arrangements.

The couple, who have a six-week-old daughter, have hinted that they may get married before Williams’ planned return to tennis next January at the Australian Open.

Meril, a small plates restaurant that opened in the Warehouse District a little over a year ago, is Emeril Lagasse’s fourth restaurant in New Orleans. It is named for his daughter.

No word on what they ate at Meril yet.
