Marigny jazz bar The Spotted Cat Music Club is ready to expand its footprint. As Off Beat Magazine first-reports nightlife hotspot is opening a second location in the former Fatoush Mediterranean Grill space on St. Claude Avenue.

Dubbed Spotted Cat Food & Spirits, the new restaurant and bar will serve all-day breakfast, alongside small plates and weekend brunch. There will, of course, also be live music events and a full bar. According the The Advocate, chef Rob Clement will be heading up the kitchens at the new addition.

At 2,500-square-feet, the restaurant will have a larger capacity than its predecessor. “As a popular local and tourist spot, a second location is necessary to accommodate the different needs of our loyal Spotted Cat guests,” Spotted Cat co-owner Wm. Douglas Emmer says in a statement. The new Spotted Cat Food & Spirits is expected to debut in February ahead of Mardi Gras.
