Mid City Has A Brand New Oyster Bar

Mr. Ed’s opens at Bienville and N. Carrollton

Mr. Ed’s is officially open at 301 N. Carrollton
Brasted

Big news for oyster lovers in Mid City this week, with Ian McNulty reporting that the fourth location of the Mr. Ed’s Oyster and Fish House empire is now open in the former Pei Wei space at Mid City Market

Mr. Ed’s is known for its stand-up oyster bar (which harkens back to its original Metairie location’s days as beloved oyster hub Bozo’s, where owner Ed McIntyre and family were regulars). The Mid City location also has a cocktail bar.

The menu includes New Orleans staples including stuffed bell peppers, po’ boys, hamburger steak, fried chicken, and loads of seafood including broiled oysters and fried Des Allemandes catfish.

Status: Certified open at 301 N. Carrollton Ave. Hours— Open for lunch and dinner, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (open until 10 p.m. on weekends). (504) 872-9975. Mid City location on Facebook here.
