6 Revamped New Orleans Restaurants To Check Out Right Now

Behold these great summer upgrades

BYWATER— Family-friendly neighborhood fave Pizza Delicious (617 Piety) has added more seating to its oft-packed dining room, along with a new draft cocktail system, all thanks to a quick summer renovation. There’s also a new menu board and artwork. [Eaterwire]

UPTOWN— La Thai (4938 Prytania) has revamped its interior space (preview here) with the help of interior designer Curtis Herring. The redesign includes the new Nit Noi Lounge, home to a new cocktail menu and small bites including Som Tam, Bao, Thai curry barbecue shrimp and more. According to a press release, Nit Noi means "a little bit" in Thai. The lounge also rolls out a new happy hour daily from 4 to 6 p.m. [Eaterwire]

CBD— The Polo Club Lounge at Windsor Court (300 Gravier) will unveil a $300K renovation this Friday, September 23. The revamp includes the addition of 930-square-feet providing more seating and a bigger performance area, along with new barstools, drapes, a refurbished bar top and phone-charging outlets. A new menu of small/large plates from Grill Room chef Gabriel Charpentier includes steak tartare, oxtail ragout poutine, caviar, cheese and charcuterie selections. [Eaterwire]

QUARTER— Just in time for the N. Rampart streetcar debut, Leblanc + Smith gem Meauxbar (942 N Rampart) has just unveiled its new revamp including new hardwoods, textured walls custom painted by Sylvia T Designs, and new artwork. Chef John Bel’s nightly kitchen specials, and specialty cocktails, are now highlighted on chalkboards in the dining room. [Eaterwire]

QUARTER— Dickie Brennan’s oyster/booze hub Bourbon House (144 Bourbon) closed for ten days over the summer to undergo renovations, with a new "floor-to-ceiling bourbon display near the entrance, more behind the bar, and a larger oyster bar," along brand new televisions for game day. WAREHOUSE DISTRICT— Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar (701 Tchoup) underwent a $500k renovation this summer including a complete menu overhaul, kitchen upgrades, and more seating. [Advocate, NOLA.com]
