Here's What You'll Be Eating At CBD Hotspot The Troubadour This Fall

CBD hotel is set to be a fried chicken and cocktail powerhouse

Fall is almost here and that means Eater NOLA is tracking the season’s most anticipated openings. Here are the latest details on one of New Orleans’ hottest upcoming restaurants.

CBD— Upcoming 17-floor, 184-room boutique hotel The Troubadour prepares to open in early November at 1111 Gravier. Here’s what to expect menu-wise at its ground floor bistro Petit Lion, rooftop food truck bar Monkey Board and the Lobby Lounge, per a press release.

Chef Phillip Lopez’s modern bistro Petit Lion sounds like it will actually be fairly casual with breakfast, lunch, and dinner service and dishes including a lobster burger, stuffed deviled eggs, fried chicken and a Croque Monsieur. Local beers, approachable wines and classic cocktail riffs will be served at the restaurant's horseshoe-shaped bar.

Lobby Lounge will also serve dishes from Petit Lion and the cocktail program will feature punch bowls named after hit songs from the 1960s.

The rooftop bar Monkey Board will offer happy hour and food truck-inspired eats like hot pretzels, fish tacos, and fried chicken sandwiches, and sharable birthday cakes. There will also be large-format cocktail pitchers. T. Cole Newton (of beloved Mid City cocktail dive 12 Mile Limit) has crafted the hotel’s beverage program.

The rooftop bar will have views of the city, live entertainment, and art installations from street artist Stikki Peaches.
