The second location of Frenchman Street's popular Three Muses is off to the races in Uptown, where the eatery's new Maple Street branch, dubbed Three Muses Maple, is now open. And there are more to come — co-owner and executive chef Daniel Esses tells The Advocate that Three Muses' partners are planning to expand beyond New Orleans, setting their sites on "cities with their own strong music scenes".
Offering food, drinks and live music under one roof, the original Three Muses outpost launched downtown in 2010. The larger Uptown branch is currently operating from Wednesday to Sunday starting at 5 p.m., with expanded hours, including Sunday brunch, coming soon; the music programming will lean towards acoustic, mellower acts, and the no-cover policy continues here.
The concept has always set itself apart by its chef-driven food program, created by Esses; its downtown menu has been transferred over, with fresh additions from Three Muses Maple's chef de cuisine Marcus Woodham.
