Status: Certified open at 5750 Hayne Blvd. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (504)324-7385.[NOLA.com]
UPTOWN— Helen Freund reports that new concept Tryst is now open in the just-shuttered Saveur (and former Baie Rouge) space on Magazine Street from the same owner Kimble Donington-Smith. Chef Dominique Macquet apparently departed last month and Saveur’s sous Son Tran (former Crepe Nanou chef) is now running the kitchen with casual bar snacks—wings, potstickers, crepes— and a new cocktail program. Plans to resurrect Baie Rouge’s beloved brie fries sound like they’re in the works. Status: Certified open at 4128 Magazine St. for dinner, Tuesday-Sunday, and daily happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. (504) 304-3667. [Gambit]
