CBD taco hotspot Johnny Sánchez is getting a killer new dinner menu starting tonight,August 15, Todd Price reports, thanks in part to the restaurant's co-owner—celebrity chef, John Besh business partner, and recent Nola transplant Aarón Sánchez.
Sánchez , who now resides in the Garden District, has worked alongside executive chef Miles Landrem to create a slew of new regional Mexican dishes inspired by their travels. Expect a rotating selection of ceviche and specialty menus.
There are promises of flautas with barbacoa, an "octopus salad topped with a dusting of cracklin," duck with mole (that includes crumbled animal crackers in the recipe) and meatballs from a recipe belongin to Sánchez's grandmother.
The staff will also be adorning new uniforms and a new logo will also make its debut.
