Sushi Stalwart Shogun Now Has a Robata Room For Grilled Eats

METAIRIE— Freund also reports that Vets sushi staple Shogun now has a room for robata, "a style of Japanese cooking where skewered snacks are cooked over a charcoal grill." The robata room seats 20 around a bar, and hours are a tad different— Tues-Thurs, 5:30 to 10 p.m. Fri, 5:30 to 11 p.m. and Sat, 4:30 to 11 p.m.  [Gambit]

LAKEVIEW— Sharknado tribe Pizza NOLA has turned its annual Sharknado watch party into an entire fest this year. SharkFest includes cocktail and food demos, food/drink for purchase, a bounce house and kids activities, celebrity guests, and a screening of SyFy Channel's Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens on July 31, from 1 to 9 p.m., at 141 W Harrison.
