Catahoula's Drinks Are Epic, But What About The Food?

The Peruvian eats are limited

This week Helen Freund heads to new CBD gem Catahoula Hotel: This "Pisco Bar lives up to the hype" with a well-curated cocktail menu from bar manager Nathan Dalton and team, but the Peruvian eats "have a way to go" (the hotel hasn't rolled out a full restaurant operation yet, so no table service even). "The menu is limited" but a "solid foundation" for enjoying a taste of Peru with a legit gazpacho and "beautiful" palta rellena with "avocado and Gulf shrimp nestled in a bowl of lettuce tossed with bright pink radish slices and ribbons of red bell pepper and carrots." Ceviche and causus (cold mashed potato cakes with various toppings) can be hit-or-miss though. [Gambit]
