Big shake up in the Warehouse District this week, with Todd Price reporting that chef Philip Mariano has left Josephine Estelle after helping to open the restaurant a little over three months ago.
The buzzy osteria opened in the Ace Hotel in March from Memphis chefs Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman, with Mariano (a Domenica alum) garnering praise for his skill with pasta, crudo and more.
Ticer and Hudman have put brought on an interim executive chef Ysaac Ramirez from their Memphis-based restaurant group to run the show. No word on Mariano's reason for departure or future plans at this time.
