Gentilly's New Grab & Go Spot Füd Bar Is Great For Busy Families

GENTILLY— Ian McNulty reports that Füd Bar,  the new family-friendly cafeteria at1522 Robert E. Lee Blvd, does grab-and-go food items right with a cold salad bar, a hot food line specializing in plates of meat/seafood (served with three sides), paninis, wraps, and pre-packaged meals like pork loin, rotisserie chicken, pastas and more. NOLA— Behold 19 restaurants heading to New Orleans by the end of 2016, with Turkey & The Wolf (projected August opening), Part & Parcel (pojected July 11 opening) and Frey Smoked Meat Co. (fall opening) all rocking fine new signage. [NOLA.com]

WAREHOUSE DISTRICT— On July 4 at the American Sector, chef Eric Cook— a combat veteran who served 6 years in the United States Marine Corps— serves up an Americana-themed Steel Beach Picnic to raise money for the restaurant's Hogs For The Cause team with loads of barbecue, sides, red, white & blue cupcakes, Bayou Teche brews and specialty Cajun Spirits Distillery cocktails from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.  There will also be happy hour drink pricing and a specially priced à la carte menu as well.

WESTBANK— Reginelli's now has a Gretna location at Bayou Square (1700 Belle Chasse Hwy), serving hand-tossed pizza, signature salads, baked pastas and sandwiches, craft beer and wine. Its the pizza empire's eleventh area location. [Eaterwire]
