Creole Tomato Festival Lands in French Quarter This Weekend

QUARTER— The 30th annual Creole Tomato Festival lands at the French Market and Crescent Park this weekend, June 11 and 12, from 10 a.m to 7 p.m. Tons of great food, live music, art, a second line and of course, plenty of Creole tomatoes for purchase. [Gambit, Advocate]

BYWATER— Former Maurepas Foods chef Michael Doyle on the changing shape of the Bywater's restaurant scene this week: "There seem to be some savvy operators coming in. They've watched everybody do it the first time around, and now they're ready to give it a go." [Gambit]
