Here's a look inside newly opened Cafe Henri in the Bywater. Though it's the newest venture by the Cure Co. team, the eatery— which is inspired by the owners' fathers—shies away from the cocktail empire's upscale bars Cure, Bellocq and Cane & Table with a focus on serving the neighborhood with affordable, casual food and drink.
Cafe Henri lightens up the former Booty's space with loads of white oak and white tile. The design was completed by partner Matthew Kohnke, who has created all the Cure Co. spaces.
Chef Jason Klutts' menu features dishes in the $6 to $20 dollar range, including a great burger and a fried oyster and beef carpaccio-based riff on surf and turf. The bar features well-known drinks (Tom Collins, martinis, etc), and a Counter Culture coffee program. Here's a look at a few menu items:
