UPTOWN— Chais Delachaise, the chic expansion from Evan Hayes and The Delachaise team has opened on Maple Street. The new cafe is in the former Sammich location with a menu of bistro fare including small/large plates, bruschetta, cheese and raw bar selections from chef Daniel Volponi (formerly of Ursa Major). The spot has been BYOB so far, but the wine program is supposed to launch this week and there will be table service. CBD— Catahoula's new rooftop blender bar is officially open with a slew of incredible frozen cocktails and tiki drinks from bartender Nathan Dalton and team. Showstoppers include a gin-based watermelon punch for 6 served in a watermelon that's carved into a whale, a frozen Jungle Bird served with a pineapple parrot that hangs off the glass, and an Aguaymanto Sour, a Peruvian specialty featuring a hard to find super fruit.
