Four Brand New Spots To Try in New Orleans This Week

From coffee to Korean barbecue

Yes, summer is here, but any sign of the doldrums seems to be lurking somewhere in the distance (hello, month of August) with numerous restaurant openings still happening around town.  The last week alone ushered in Mid City's Fharmacy, a fancy Waffle House on Canal, The Halal Guys in the CBD, and the Marigny gastropub Anna's (which may already be closed, albeit temporarily).

Here now, four more openings to kick off your work week.

UPTOWN— Fans of the former big Rue De La Course on Magazine will be happy to know that Ignatius, the creole spot that took it over, has switcherooed into Ignatius Coffee & Espresso Bar, now open from Rue De La Course owner Debra Dunn in partnership with Mojo Coffee Roasters, so you know the drinks will rule. Status: Certified open at 3121 Magazine St.,  Mon-Fri, 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sat-Sun, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. On Instagram and Facebook. [Eaterwire]

GARDEN DISTRICT— The spiffy new location of Little Korea is now officially open in the former home of AJ&J Asian Bistro, Todd Price reports, with more seating, tables with grills for cooking up your own Korean barbecue, an expanded menu and a second-generation owner, Joyce Park, taking over for her parents.  Status: Certified open at 2240 Magazine St. Mon and Wed-Thurs, 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Fri-Sat, 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Tues & Sun, 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (504)821-5006.
