Brasted

GRETNA— Ian McNulty reports that the low key and awesome Pho Festival hits the Westbank this weekend with tons of authentic Vietnamese dishes in the $5-$8 range including 'daring' eats like goat blood stew, live music, beer, iced coffee and more.  June 25 & 26, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. in Mel Ott Park (2301 Belle Chasse Highway). Entry is free. [Advocate]

CENTRAL CITY— McNulty also reports that the Caribbean Festival will land at O.C. Haley hub Roux Carre this Saturday, June 25, with incredible live music all day, NOLA Brewing beers and tons of food for purchase. Entry is $15. [Advocate]

NOLA— Meanwhile, Waffle House has just shamed The Times-Pic for calling the new Canal Street location not fancy enough. [NOLA.com]

NOLA— Tomorrow is apparently National Pralines Day, so Aunt Sally's is giving away FREE bit size pralinettes at its two locations (Quarter & LGD) and at the downtown Rouses and all Trashy Diva locations. They'll also offer free shipping on orders over $25. [Eaterwire]
