Bellocq Will Shutter on June 20 Due To Sale of Hotel Modern

Shocking news from Lee Circle this week, with Todd Price reporting that Bellocq, Cure Co’s four-year-old cobbler-focused cocktail lounge, will shutter on June 20.

The Hotel Modern, which has sold to new owners who haven’t "chosen a new brand for the hotel" yet, will terminate Bellocq’s lease on Monday. The hotel’s eatery Tivoli & Lee has also shuttered.

Price that through the experience the group "learned they didn't want to run another bar inside a hotel," having passed on several opportunities around the city.

The group's newest venture, casual neighborhood eatery Cafe Henri has just debuted in the Bywater.
