Shuttered Westbank Vietnamese Favorite Makes Triumphant Return on Tulane Avenue

Pho Tau Bay is back in action

Josh Brasted

Shuttered Gretna restaurant Pho Tau Bay is finally back in business. Gambit reports that the restaurant opened for lunch in a newly renovated Tulane Avenue space on Thursday. The restaurant owners were forced to close the doors at their final standing location last February in advance of a grocery store/gas station development. It was a sad day for fans of the restaurant's tasty pho bowls and banh mi sandwiches. According to The Times-Picayune, Pho Tau Bay's new restaurant features a "bright, modern dining room" with "marble-topped tables and exposed brick walls." The restaurant is available for counter service and takeout.
