The Three Muses team has several irons in the fire for 2016. The popular Frenchmen Street eatery and music venue's co-owner Sophie Lee reveals to Off Beat that Three Muses is expanding to a second location in Uptown and relaunching the Korean soul food kitchen Seoul Shack. Lee describes the new Three Muses location as more focused on dining than live entertainment. She tells the magazine:
For Uptown I'm thinking that will be scaled down a bit. We're still going to focus on all three things, the food and the drinks and the music, but the music will be a little more in the background, maybe with acoustic trios.
Seoul Shack — a 70s-inspired pop-up — operated for a brief time behind the Dragon's Den. That project shut down last fall in order to move to a full-fledge restaurant space on St. Claude Avenue. Lee says the menu will feature "soul foods of the world" including jambalaya, gumbo, and Chicago-style hot dogs (a tribute to her hometown). Both the new Three Muses and Seoul Shack are expected to open by mid-summer. Stay tuned.
