The anticipated All-American oyster bar and restaurant heading to next door to the Ace Hotel this summer now has a name, Seaworthy, Brett Anderson reports, and it'll debut just in time for July's booze industry extravaganza Tales Of The Cocktail.
Seaworthy is actually a collaboration between the Ace and hospitality group Summer Inc., which is run by New Orleans natives Miles and Alex Pincus and partner Adrien Gallo, who operate the popular New York-based oyster bar schooner Grand Banks.
Seaworthy will be helmed by local chef de cuisine Daniel Causgrove (formerly of Grill Room) and overseen by Grand Banks' executive chef Kerry Heffernan (formerly of Eleven Madison Park) with a menu focused on sustainable and diverse local seafood.
Bar director Lauren Schell comes from NY cocktail powerhouse Milk & Honey, so do expect some incredible drinks there as well.
Expect a mid-July opening.
