CBD— Beloved sushi restaurant Horinoya will shutter after service today, May 13, Ian McNulty reports: "Chef Komei Horimoto said the lease is up at his restaurant's longtime home at 920 Poydras St. And after a half-century of work, he said, he is finally ready for a break." Brett Anderson named Horinoya one of New Orleans best seafood restaurants in 2015, and it was often regarded as the best sushi spot in town.

UPTOWN— Helen Freund reports that Rivista, the bakery and inexpensive brunch spot from chef Chris and Lisa Barbato, where Grammy-award winning musician David Doucet could often be found making delicious coffee drinks, will shutter for good on May 29. Apparently construction around the shop has put somewhat of a burden on the business, which opened in 2013, but Lisa Barbato plans to return with baked goods on Saturdays at the Crescent City Farmers Market.
