Rejoice, team cake. Todd Price reports that Bakery Bar, the new spot for casual bar snacks, doberge cake and vintage cocktails from Debbie Does Doberge and team is already open in the former Eleven 79 space (1179 Annunciation St.).
Bakers Charlotte McGeehee and Charles Mary IV bring doberge by the slice, dobites, 'salty balls' and more creative desserts to the spot, along with a menu of 'sconewiches,' cheese and charcuterie and more snacks from Jordan Brown (with Mason Hereford of upcoming Turkey & The Wolf consulting on the menu).
Jeff Schwartz, a Coquette and Twelve Mile Limit alum, is slinging cocktails inspired by the days of yore—think absinthe frappes, gimlets, and more—and signature drinks like a chai tea-infused Mule that also features locally made Huhu's Ginger Brew. There's also this gorgeous pisco sour:
