QUARTER— French Quarter Fest has ditched its annual Crawfish Eating Contest, which will now be a part of the Crawfish Mambo, planned for May 7 at UNO. [NOLA.com]

QUARTER— Slow Food New Orleans hosts its Slow Fish Festival 2016 next week (March 10-13) with fishermen, chefs, and more seafood advocates coming together from across the globe to discuss ways to create a healthier seafood industry.  The Fest includes lots of local seafood and music at the U.S. Mint.
