LA Smokehouse Brings Barbecue Grits & Grillades to Gert Town

A new barbecue spot LA Smokehouse is now open in the former Maple Street Patisserie et Bistro space at 8300 Earhart on the edge of Gert Town and Holly Grove. Owners and chefs Aubin and Daniel Wender are currently serving a limited menu of smoked meats including brisket, pulled pork and chicken.

Aubin Wender tells Eater that the restaurant is currently undergoing some light renovation but will include a sauce bar with 11 options and housemade pickles. The full menu will also include sandwiches, salads, a slew of signature barbecue grits and grillades bowls, and housemade pies, cornbread and biscuits.

Eater readers have been writing in about the spot, with one tipster calling it "just amazing."
