The CBD is home to a newly revamped restaurant Bienvenue Bar & Grille in the former breakfast and lunch destination FredRick's, Ian McNulty reports this week. New owner Ryan Haro (of nearby Haro's Coffee & Chocolates) purchased the cafe from its retiring proprietor's, Fred Rost and Rick Lewis, back in September 2015.
Bienvenue still features pretty much the same menu of po' boys, muffulettas and diner fare, along with video poker, but it now has a new bar, a growing craft beer selection, laptop and phone charging areas, and expanding hours, with Haro hoping to stay open until 10 p.m. in the near future.
Current hours: Mon-Fri, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sat-Sun, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. with later hours planned during Mardi Gras.
