French Truck Coffee Reopens The Grocery on St. Charles Avenue

Po boys, breakfast plans, and a summer renovation in sight.

Brasted

You may recall that back in September 2015, St. Charles Avenue's Mardi Gras parade staple and panini spot The Grocery shuttered due to a major rent hike, with then-owner Marcy McCall talking about a potential relocation. But this week Todd Price reports that French Truck Coffee founder Geoffrey Meeker now owns and has reopened The Grocery.

The menu is still packed with po' boys, paninis and signature sandwiches, but there are plans to add new menu items and breakfast service in the next month. St. Clair Pizza's Aaron Hubbard is also on board as GM.

The spot plans to close sometime this summer for renovations.

Current Hours: Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (504)895-9524.
