Legendary New Orleans restaurateur Ella Brennan will be the focus of a documentary coming out this fall from Academy Award and Emmy nominated filmmaker Leslie Iwerks, Brett Anderson reports this week. The Ella Brennan Movie tells the 'intimate and inspiring story' of how the renowned 90-year-old Commander's Palace matriarch helped turn New Orleans' dining scene into a billion-dollar hospitality industry.
Industry heavyweights including Emeril Lagasse, Danny Meyer, and Daniel Boulud are all featured in the film.
