A couple switcheroos have just happened over at the St. Claude Avenue food hall St. Roch Market, Helen Freund reports, with two new spots freshly open:
Good Bird, a stall from former Peche and Batali & Bastianich Hospitality Group employee Leo Sloan, serves free-range rotisserie chicken "on sandwiches and salads, paired Mediterranean and Middle Eastern sides." Breakfast also to come.
Bittersweet Confections, a New Orleans favorite for chocolates, cupcakes and more expands with this new location in the former Sweet Spot space. Owner Cheryl Scripter will serve "muffins, croissants, cinnamon rolls, bagel bombs and breakfast sandwiches," along with more baked goods on the sweeter side. Open at 7 a.m daily.
