Cajun chef, Top Chef: Season 13 fan favorite and pork chop enthusiast Isaac Toups has just landed a major cookbook deal with Little Brown. Chasing The Gator: Isaac Toups and the New Cajun Cooking has an anticipated publication date of spring 2018.

Toups is already having a big year in 2016, with a semifinalist nod for Best Chef: South from the JBFA and a smoking-hot brand new eatery Toups South inside the Southern Food & Beverage Museum on Central City’s bustling O.C. Haley Blvd. Now it appears he’s set to spread the cheer, or perhaps just his grandmother’s dirty rice recipe, with his legion of fans.

Toups will work with heralded food and travel writer Jennifer V. Cole to write the book, which will also feature photos by Denny Culbert, whose work you can actually find hanging in Toups South. Toups tells Eater that Cole and Culbert have “been essential in helping me translate my interpretation on what modern Cajun cuisine is to me and my family.”

Here are the cookbook details from Publisher’s Marketplace:

Top Chef fan favorite and owner of the acclaimed Toups' Meatery in New Orleans Isaac Toups's CHASING THE GATOR: Isaac Toups and the New Cajun Cooking, co-authored by food, spirits, travel, and music writer Jennifer Cole, with photos by Denny Culbert, to Michael Szczerban at Little, Brown, for publication in spring 2018, by David Hale Smith of Inkwell Management.
