Long awaited and hotly anticipated food truck-inspired rooftop lounge Monkey Board officially opens for business at The Troubadour this evening, December 28, at 5 p.m.

The all-outdoor space features incredible views of the city, nightly entertainment from DJs and bands, shareable birthday cakes, communal drinks, and street art by local artist Gabe Flores.

Expect a menu of food truck type eats from Petit Lion (and Root empire) chef Phillip Lopez— hot fish tacos, fried chicken sandwiches, crudite and hummus. Several menu items already made their debut on an actual food truck last month, including a a pretzel lobster dog and chilaquiles with mole.

Twelve Mile Limit owner and cocktail whiz T. Cole Newton has created the drinks for the hotel, which includes chic ground floor bistro Petit Lion and punch hub Lobby Lounge. At Monkey Board, large-format cocktail pitchers will be available to share, along with cake with sprinkles that can feed parties of four. Translation: Bring your friends.

On New Year’s Eve, Monkey Board will serve food until 1 a.m. with bar service until 3 a.m. and a DJ until 2 a.m. (bottle service also available).
