Petit Lion, one of New Orleans’ most anticipated restaurant openings of 2016, makes its official debut in the CBD this evening inside The Troubadour, a 17-floor, 184-room boutique hotel at 1111 Gravier Street.
Root empire builder/chef Phillip Lopez’s ground floor bistro opens at 5 p.m. for dinner. Breakfast and lunch will launch on Monday. If you’re wondering what to expect menu-wise, all eyes will be on the burger, which will be vying for the best in town. There’s also stuffed deviled eggs, fried chicken, mussels and frites and a Croque Monsieur to look forward to, as well as local beers, approachable wines and classic cocktail riffs at the horseshoe -haped bar.
The hotel’s other anticipated openings are still forthcoming, including rooftop bar Monkey Board, which will have food truck-inspired eats, sharable birthday cakes and communal drinks, is set to open around mid January, and a lobby lounge. T. Cole Newton (of beloved Mid City cocktail dive 12 Mile Limit) has crafted the cocktails for both.
Do check back for photos of the restaurant in the coming week.
Status: Petit Lion officially opens at 5 p.m. on December 14 at 1111 Gravier. Make reservations for a table right here or call (504) 518-5500. On Facebook here.
