OAK STREET— Truburger has new owners, with former Magasin managers Amy Doan, Lein Doan and Hung Nguyen purchasing the burger and milkshake fave from Patois owner/chef Aaron Burgau. Some minor design and menu updates including a tofu burger and healthier items could be in the works. The trio also debuted ‘Tru Vietnamese’ at this year’s Voodoo Music Experience. MID CITY— Three Palms Bar, a new watering hole from first time bar owner and former UNO employee Susan Dandridge, is now open in the former Tulane Avenue Bar space. There’s a patio, fresh fruit daiquiris, happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. and a nice selection of local liquors, plus “anyone can stop by on their way to or from an event, show their ticket, and receive 10 percent off their tab.” [MidCityMessenger]
