BYWATER— The Crepe Place, a new cafe from the owners of the French Market’s Crepe Cart, is now open at 941 Poland Ave, Todd Price reports, with loads of crepes including meaty, vegetarian, gluten-free and dessert options and coffee from French Truck, and there’s a lavender latte. HOLLY GROVE— Helen Freund reports that Holly Grove Market & Farm has a new Brunch In The Garden series on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring local pop ups (Lahpet will serve Burmese cuisine this Sunday, 11/20). The market also has a new Saturday Box Lunch series on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with cooking demo and eats from chef Matt Kopfler. [Gambit]

NOLA— Ian McNulty reports that Hogs For The Cause and Children’s Hospital have plans to launch the House That Hogs Built in late 2017, a hotel-like concept on State Street funded by a $2 million donation from Hogs that will provide specialized housing for children and their families when they travel to the Uptown hospital for treatment.
