Michael Gulotta's Tana Opens in Treo Today; Fogo De Chao Lands on Canal

A Sicilian kitchen and a Brazilian churrascaria debut in Nola this week.

MID CITY— Chef Michael Gulotta opens his anticipated Sicilian kitchen Tana inside Treo today, January 8.   Expect a short, rotating menu perfect for carb lovers— boudin noir ragu with mint and a spicy, roasted garlic spaghetti with clams, crushed peppers and shellfish pangrattato both debut on the opening menu.  Status: Officially opening in Treo (3835 Tulane) on January 8.  Hours: Tues-Thurs, 4 to 11 p.m. Fri-Sat, 11:30 a.m. to midnight. QUARTER— Upscale Brazilian churrascaria chain Fogo de Chao has opened its New Orleans location in the JW Marriot, with all you can eat spit-fired meats and buffet side items for a set price of $33 at lunch and $50 at dinner.  Best of all, Ian McNulty reports: "Waiters whisk sword-sized skewers of the selection around the dining room" and slice those sexy meats tableside.
