Chef John Besh is expanding his empire with Pigeon & Prince, a new events space taking over the Le Foret space (129 Camp), Todd Price reports.  La Provence chef Erick Loos, who has already been handling catering events for Besh, will head up the kitchen and is currently crafting the menu.   Loos will remain at La Provence as well.

According to a rep, Le Foret passed everything on to the Besh Group in the sale of the gorgeous three four-story restaurant 'from the plates to the utensils' and the very August-like aesthetic. The restaurant went through numerous chef-shuffles since opening in 2009.

Pigeon & Prince will start booking events for the end of January— call (504) 553-6738 or email pandp@chefjohnbesh.com for info. If you're wondering about the name, Ian McNulty reports that it harkens back to "earlier chapters at this address, including, alternately, a roost for pigeons and European royalty."

Besh is also expanding with the highly-anticipated Caribbean Room inside the Pontchartrain Hotel later this year as well.
