Feelings Is Up For Sale; Maurepas Foods Will Also Hit The Market

Plus, Dis & Dem expands with Quarter location.

MARIGNY— Todd Price reports that Feeling's is back on the market, and Ann Churchill's Bhava, a vegan favorite, is popping up inside the space (open Wed-Sat at 5:30 p.m.) until its sold. Ian McNulty also reports that the restaurant will "sell tickets for private seatings with open bar, buffet and access to the restaurant" during Krewe du Vieux and Chewbacchus.  [NOLA.com]

BYWATER— Ian McNulty reports that the Maurepas Foods space will also be put up for sale, and wonders if their recent shutter, along with Booty's and Jim's, signifies a tipping point for the New Orleans restaurant boom. [Advocate]

QUARTER— Dis & Dem, the Mid City-based burger joint founded by former Dat Dog partner Skip Murray, will open a second location inside the bar Rue St. Louis (817 St. Louis) on February 5 with a menu of sandwiches, burgers, and fries, and brunch to come. [NOLA.com]

UPTOWN— Helen Freund reports that Apolline has added lunch service, every Tuesday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m with some dinner menu faves, avocado toast, and sandwiches including a "roasted duck and brie po-boy with red onion jam and spinach; and a B.L.T. salad made with frisee, arugula, heirloom tomatoes, avocado and bacon dressing."
