Behold the scene from Cochon chefs Donald Link and Stephen Stryjewski's inaugural Bal Masque fundraiser, held this weekend at the Orpheum Theater to benefit local educational programs Kingsley House and the Youth Empowerment Project. Guests sipped cocktails prepared by French 75's Chris Hannah and Compere Lapin's Abigail Gullo, among others, and dined on a decadent menu created by some of America's best chefs (food porn below).
Musical guests included John Cleary, the Roots of Music, Cha Wa Indians, and Jimmy Buffet & The Coral Reefer Band featuring the Preservation Hall horn section and Sonny Landreth. Guests also bid on a slew of auction items, from a private dinner at chef Nancy Oakes' house to a $55,000 Carnival-themed painting by artist John Alexander.
Chefs in attendance included Susan Spicer, Adolfo Garcia, Alon Shaya, Allison Vines Rushing and Slade Rushing, Tory McPhail, Kristen Essig, Michael Stoltzfus, Nina Compton and Justin Devillier.
