According to the Gambit, newly minted New Orleans residents (just moved here earlier this month from Harlem in NYC) will be opening a cupcake and cognac bar-slash-boutique in the space next to Saveur at 4132 Magazine Street.
Brodie's Love combines Adilah's love of cupcakes and baking with Danny's love of cognac, and the two will almost certainly be combined with boozy cupcakes, as well as dairy-free, gluten-free, sugar-free and vegan options.
There will be indoor and outdoor space for relaxing and enjoying the Brodies' wares, as well as a potential music space in the back.
Helen Freund reports, "A preliminary menu of cupcakes includes red velvet, lemon, dark chocolate, a take on bananas Foster, a maple and bacon bits version, and a caramel and sea salt-flavored cupcake."
The pair plans to open by the end of 2015 or early 2016.
