April Bloomfield, award-winning chef behind beloved gastropub The Spotted Pig, monster meatery The Breslin and more NYC hotspots and author of the bestselling A Girl and Her... cookbooks, is heading to Louisiana next week for a few days of hotly anticipated culinary events.

Bloomfield is participating in the James Beard Foundation Taste America tour, which sends celeb-chefs to select cities all over the country, New Orleans included. Here's where to find her.

October 9: In New Orleans

Bloomfield will headline A Night of Culinary Stars at the Hyatt Regency on Friday, October 9, and it's basically going to be an epic night of feasting with food prepared by, yeah, a bunch of culinary stars.

The evening kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with a reception featuring a Tabasco pepper mash tasting and food from Nola's finest Beard Award winners Tory McPhail, Ryan Prewitt, Alon Shaya, Stephen Stryjewski, and Sue Zemanick. A little taste of what's in store:  McPhail's Tabasco and sugarcane smoked salmon tea sandwiches, Shaya's buttermilk biscuit with duck Liver paté and fig charoset, and Stryjewski's pork knuckles and sauerkraut.

The five-course dinner follows at 8 p.m. Bloomfield has created the meaty menu alongside Cochon's Donald Link, the Hyatt's Eric Damidot and Emeril's pastry chef Jeremy Fogg. Expect short ribs and lamb shanks to make an appearance. Tickets are $300/person, with proceeds benefiting the JBFA.

October 10: In Baton Rouge

If throwing down $300 for a night of sheer indulgence isn't your thing, you can also catch Bloomfield in Baton Rouge on Saturday, October 10, at Sur La Table (10202 Perkins Rowe), where she'll do a free cooking demo and sign books at noon. Space is limited, so you should reserve a seat here. There will also be tastings from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and New Orleans based cookbook author Kit Wohl will also sign her book,The James Beard Foundation's Best of the Best: A 25th Anniversary Celebration of America's Outstanding Chefs, and do a cooking demo at 2 p.m.
