The South Market District is about to heat up again as chef Phillip Lopez and the Root team plan to bring Part & Parcel to The Paramount building this fall, Todd Price reports. In a departure from their $150/person tasting restaurant Square Root, this second expansion will be a sandwich and retail shop with Lopez's renowned charcuterie skills on display, along with a menu of sandwiches to deliver the cured meats in a 'chef-driven but...easy and quick' manner.
40-seats are expected, but Part & Parcel will function more as a 'modern delicatessen' with emphasis on take-out and retail— a 'grungier' Dean & DeLuca, Lopez calls it. There are plans for housemade pastas, pickles and even local/national artisanal goods for purchase 'down the road,' along with an aim for total 'world domination.' With this sort of charcuterie in tow, though, why not?

Part & Parcel will join upcoming anticipated-openings Company Burger 2 and Magasin Kitchen in The Paramount. Besh bakery and cafe Willa Jean and Booty's zodiac-driven restaurant and lounge Ursa Major have already opened in the building at 611 O'Keefe Ave.
