WAREHOUSE DISTRICT— Chef Nina Compton debuts brunch tomorrow at her chic eatery Compere Lapin with sweets and small/large plates ($4-$14 range) including avocado toast, ricotta pancakes, goat Bolognese with gnocchi and egg and much more. UPTOWN— Todd Price reports that in the wake of calculated armed robberies at Patois and Atchafalaya, restaurants Uptown—including Upperline, Clancy's, and Gautreau's— are taking more precautionary measures when it comes to security, like adding additional cameras and hiring guards.  [NOLA.com]

BERNARD PARISH— Ian McNulty also reports that Slow Food NOLA will host a legit boucherie at Docville Farms (5124 St. Bernard Hwy) tomorrow, September 26:  "Toby Rodriguez and his crew with Lâche Pas Boucherie will slaughter the hog on site, while a group of New Orleans chefs [including Alex Harrell, Ryan Hughes and more] will prepare its many parts for a spread of traditional foods." $100 at the gate includes all food/beverage and live music.
