Opening Alert: The Company Burger Debuts in the South Market District

The rumors are true, The Company Burger officially opens the doors of its new South Market District location at 11 a.m. today.  Located inside restaurant hotbed The Paramount, CoBu2 will have the same menu as the Freret flagship, featuring chef/owner Adam Biderman's incredible cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings and the like, but a lot more room for seating. Plus, there will also be a focus on carry-out business for busy CBD lunch hour hoards, potential bocce ball and yard game action, and a long bar with beer and booze and, according to Ian McNulty, bar food to come:

Biderman will eventually serve a separate bar menu with small plates, sliders and other dishes where his kitchen can branch out and where customers headed to the nearby theaters and venues can get a quick meal of a different sort.

Biderman also created the bar menus at Cure and Cane & Table, so he's no stranger to cocktail-friendly small plates from jerk chicken to Benton's ham and biscuits to steak tartare.

As for the booze, Todd Price reports that Bouligny Tavern alum Evan Wolf is running the bar program: "But do not, Biderman said, use the 'craft' word."  The drinks—including an Old Fashioned, an Army Navy, and two drinks on tap— are described as "relaxed" and made to pair with the food.
