NOLA— Restaurants Shaya and Square Root have both been selected for Open Table's top 100 restaurants for foodies in America. [OpenTable]

BYWATER— Boston pastry chef Justin Samson-Burke's Modern Gramma dessert pop up hits the roof of the Rice Mill Lofts on September 8, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. with an all-star line up of dessert pros— Emeril's Jeremy Fogg, Delmonico's Amy Lemon, Brennan's Eric Perelli, and boozy-popsicle slingers Lick Our Pops—turning out four-courses of sweets inspired by their grandmothers.
