Nicolas Cage Says You Should Eat Oysters at Cochon

Sage advice from the man, the myth, the legend.

Nicolas Cage, star of such cinematic masterpieces as Ghost Rider and National Treasure, has some restaurant recommendations for you. The actor — a frequent NOLA visitor who has owned his fair share of local real estate — tells Entertainment Weekly he's particularly fond of two local dining destinations:

I would certainly recommend Cochon. If you want a flame-roasted oyster, it’s absolutely one of the great taste sensations you shall ever have ... And then you have the old guard. The Commander’s Palace is an institution. It’s just a beautiful ambience, and they’re very nice people, and they really go above and beyond to give you that flavor and that experience that is unique to the city.

At least he has better taste in restaurants than he does in tombstones.
