Stumptown Coffee Roasters Headed This Way Via Ace Hotel

It's coming to the Warehouse District in 2016.

There's no end in sight for the local third-wave coffee shop boom: Come mid-2016, the Portland, Ore.-based Ace Hotel will land in the Warehouse District, says NOLA.com, and its amenities will include a Stumptown Coffee Roasters location — "the 10th of its kind and the first in the South."

Stumptown's coffee has been available for sipping in NOLA for some time, but the presence of an actual Stumptown outlet will no doubt delight local coffee nerds, as the iconic brand is one of the leading names in the craft coffee movement. Expect a variety of possibilities like Chemex, AeroPress, nitro-infused cold-brew on tap, and cute little cartons of cold-brew-spiked chocolate milk.

NOLA.com says the Ace Hotel is "known for its eye-catching vintage interiors"; the Warehouse District outpost is going into a nine-story Art Deco building at 600 Carondelet St. and will also include a bar, restaurant, and rooftop pool.
