Northshore carnivores gets a new dining option today with the official opening of Smoke BBQ, brought to you by the folks behind hot modern Southern restaurant Ox Lot 9.
Meat offerings here are comprised of 12-hour smoked brisket, St. Louis ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and two types of sausage; combo plates come flanked by two sides, with options including mac and cheese, collards, cheese grits, and potato salad. Other potential menu standouts: cheese fries dressed up with bacon and burnt ends, housemade pickles that get a trip through the deep-fryer before being served up with buttermilk ranch, and pies by Ox Lot pastry chef Breanne Kostyk.
For its first week, Smoke BBQ's hours are limited to lunch only from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; eventually, regular hours will be 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. six days a week (closed Sundays).
