Starting Labor Day weekend, chef Jason Goodenough is launching brunch at his acclaimed Riverbend stunner Carrollton Market. The first service will roll out on Sunday September 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and every following Sunday with menu items including plates of Benton's Bacon, house made maple breakfast sausage, cinammon rolls and even a burger (btw, that is a tentative menu, so dishes wills likely be change somewhat before service starts.). Meanwhile Goodenough tells Eater, "I've been working on perfecting my technique for buttermilk and bacon fat biscuits, so those may appear as a side at some point too." Brunch cocktails will also abound.
In Gert Town, breakfast and lunch spot Gracious Bakery has just expanded its brunch offerings with housemade bagels, cream cheese and cured salmon on Saturdays and Sundays. Website here.
Finally, Quarter restaurant Palace Cafe—which is displaced at the moment for a quick renovation—is popping up with a jazz brunch inside Bourbon House every Saturday and Sunday from now until the end of October. Brunch includes live music, Palace Cafe's menu, and a build your own mimosa/bloody mary bar.
