Purloo Hosts Hansens SnoBall Dinner; Patois Gets A Little Help From Their Friends

CENTRAL CITY— Ashley Hansen, third generation snoball purveyor and Beard American Classic award winner is teaming up with Purloo chef Ryan Hughes on Wednesday, August 26 for a beer dinner at the restaurant inside the Southern Food and Beverage Museum. Hughes will be pairing his southern cuisine with boozy takes on Hansen's signature flavors, such as boudin balls and pickled peppers sever with Hansen's cucumber snoball, with gin, lemon, and mint; and Chilton County peaches and green peanut hummus served with Hansen's watermelon snoball, with lime, El Dorado demerara rum, and rose cava. UPTOWN— After Thursday night's shocking armed robbery at Patois, the food and booze community is in full swing to show its support. Ann Tuennerman, founder of Tales of the Cocktail, spearheaded an initiative to raise funds to cover wages lost by the restaurant's employees that night.
